Titanium is used wherever low weight, high strength, corrosion resistance, durability and reliable performance under demanding conditions count.

Automotive and motorsport applications
Titanium supports automotive and motorsport applications such as:
- exhaust systems and exhaust components
- fasteners and connecting elements
- springs and suspension-related components
- high-performance engine components
- lightweight brackets and fittings
- motorsport and racing components
- prototype parts and specialised engineering projects

What Hermith supplies for automotive projects
Product forms
- Titanium bars
- Titanium sheets
- Titanium plates
- Titanium tubes
- Titanium wire
Grades and alloys
- Commercially pure titanium, Grades 1–4
- Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V)
- Grade 23 (Ti-6Al-4V ELI), depending on project requirements
- Grade 9 (Ti-3Al-2.5V)
Grade 5 is one of the most widely used alloys for high-strength lightweight components. CP Grades 1–4 offer excellent corrosion resistance and good formability; Grade 9 is used in selected tubing and lightweight structures.
Standards
- ASTM B265
- ASTM B348
- ASTM B338
- ASTM B863
Additional standards, including aerospace, motorsport and customer-specific requirements, on request.
