Titanium 6246 is an alpha-beta alloy that has high strength (greater than Titanium 6Al-4V) up to high temperatures. Ti-6246 has excellent corrosion resistance in reducing environments such as Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S).
Properties
Heat-treatable, deep-hardenable, very high strength Ti alloy with improved strength to temperatures as high as 480 OC, with limited weldability, low density/very high strength-to-weight ratio, non-magnetic, low modulus of elasticity, low thermal expansion.
Applications
Ti-6246 is good for applications where very high strength up to high temperatures as 480 OC, good corrosion resistance and light weight are needed.
